The Problem
Seminole Gaming operates two of Florida’s most iconic casino destinations: Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. With a reputation for luxury and excellence, Seminole needed a mobility solution that could match the expectations of their high-end clientele. Guests expected seamless access across the sprawling venues and often requested mobility equipment on very short notice. Their previous provider struggled with outdated devices, inconsistent service, and delays that impacted the guest experience and limited the time patrons spent in revenue-generating areas.
The Work
To meet Seminole’s needs, Scootaround Powered by WHILL developed a tailored On-Site Fleet Service Agreement. This program provides a ready supply of up-to-date scooters and wheelchairs that staff can offer to guests as needed, without additional delays or paperwork. With major warehouse facilities located nearby in Fort Lauderdale and the Port of Tampa, Scootaround is also well-positioned to fulfill urgent requests, especially during large events or when accommodating last-minute high roller arrivals. The dedicated local teams ensure that Seminole maintains a premium level of guest service while avoiding the logistical headaches of managing their own fleet of rental equipment.
The Results
Since implementing the program, Seminole Gaming has reported a noticeable improvement in both staff efficiency and guest satisfaction. Scootaround’s ability to respond rapidly has become a key differentiator, pivoting to provide extra equipment during peak times. Guests now move more freely throughout the casinos, staying longer in restaurants, gaming areas, and entertainment venues. Seminole has renewed its agreement with Scootaround three times since the partnership began.
