If the user has decent mobility and strength in their arms, we recommend renting a Standard or Heavy Duty Wheelchair. This will allow the user to propel themselves around the Vegas Strip by grabbing the large rear wheels and pushing forward. An average-sized person will be fine with a standard chair, while a larger individual may find an HD or Bariatric Wheelchair more comfortable.

If you are driving to Las Vegas and have a disability parking permit from another state or country, you do not need to apply for a temporary permit during your stay. Nevada honors non-expired disability placards and plates from other states and countries. If you require a temporary permit, you may apply at any Nevada DMV center. Alternatively, valet parking is available at most hotels. Disability placards/permits or tags from any state allow you to park in any parking space designated for a disabled person.

Located just 15km outside of Las Vegas, visiting the incredible rock formations at Red Rock Canyon feels like visiting another plant. In fact, the area was used for the Mars scenes in the original Total Recall movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

When you visit Fremont Street, you are in the heart of old Vegas, and significant regeneration has gone into this downtown area over the past 10 years, turning it into a must-see destination that’s off The Strip. You’ll find museums, shopping, and many classic casinos including The Golden Nugget. The Fremont Street Experience is a an epic light show projected onto a canopy that covers much of Fremont Street, forming the largest screen in the world. The light show features 12.5 million lights and 550,000 watts of amazing sound and happens every hour.
The Fremont Street Experience is entirely wheelchair accessible. With a 1,500 canopy and spanning 5 blocks, an electric scooter or wheelchair will ensure that you are able to see the entire light show and visit as many casinos as possible.
The Hoover Dam
The Hoover Dam
The iconic and impressive Hoover Dam is located 35 minutes from Las Vegas, but worth the drive. The dam is named one of the Top 10 Construction Achievements of the 20th century and draws more than a million visitors a year. A national historic landmark, the Hoover Dam is the highest concrete dam in the Western Hemisphere.
The Dam Tour is not accessible to those in wheelchairs, however the Power Plant Tour and Hoover Dam Visitors Center is wheelchair accessible. Guests with mobility equipment can enter the Visitor Center (one floor below street level) via an elevator inset into the canyon wall a few yards past the escalator entrance.
