Pennsylvania honors non-expired disability placards and plates from other states and countries. If you require a temporary permit, you may apply at any Philadelphia DMV center. Alternatively, valet parking is available at most hotels. Disability placards/permits or tags from any state allow you to park in any parking space designated for a disabled person.
The first stop in Philadelphia for history buffs has to be Independence National Historical Park. Known as the birthplace of American democracy, 3.5 million people come to the park every year to visit the Liberty Bell Center and other important sites such as Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were debated and signed, Congress Hall, the New Hall Military Museum, the Bishop White House, Franklin Court, and many more attractions.
Almost all the buildings at Independence National Historical Park are wheelchair accessible. Accessible restrooms are available throughout the park and paved sidewalks with curb cuts are available along the perimeter of all blocks in the park. All ranger-led outdoor tours are on paved walks and use curb cuts.
