Totally Awesome
I have a GoGo sport that I bought for travel and specifically cruises because of its weight and width. I love it but wanted a heavy duty scooter to walk the dog around the neighborhood and beyond. This is it.
It's fast, powerful, has great range (nearest stores from my house are 4.5 miles) and the suspension makes it a pleasure to ride. It's wide enough to be stable but not too wide. The base is large enough so that after my dog wears out, she can ride home!
I have gone 13 miles (I weigh 320 and went on slow speed 6 mph) so far and the battery gauge was at 80‰ afterwards. I am only charging it two, maybe three times a week. I was charging my GoGo sport daily and ran it so down I had to walk it up my driveway at the end as it was out of juice.
I usually go at low speed range (6 mph max) but once the dog wears out and rides, I use high speed range (14 mph max) and zip home. At highest speed, the scooter is very stable and easy to control. But, do slow down when you turn - that's just common sense though.
Since this doesn't come apart for transport, you'll need a truck or hitch mounted platform carrier to transport. Plus, it's large enough that I wouldn't want to take it downtown among a crowd or to a Fiesta or such. My sport is much better for that. But, for around the neighborhood, this is the one to get.
As far as service, I won't get any brand besides Pride. There are local dealers for them everywhere. This is NOT the case with other brands.
I can't recommend this scooter enough. And I don't think you can go wrong with the Pride brand.
One other thing - unpacking it was a serious pain. I have MS that impacts my legs only (moving not standing) so I could unpack it BUT unless you are physically capable or have lots of help, pay for the White glove service to unpack and haul the crate off. The crate is huge and the scooter is heavy. I'm quite strong and it was all I could do to lift it off the crate base. No cardboard here, the crate is plywood and requires tools to open and break up for disposal.
