Those who already hold disability placards/permits or tags from any state are allowed to park in any parking space designated for a disabled person in California. If you don’t have these, you’ll need to apply for a Temporary Parking Placard for Nonresidents at any California DMV. This temporary placard is good for up to 90 days or until the date indicated by your physician.
