What is the best mobility scooter model to rent in Miami?

The best scooter model depends on a few key things, including whether you’ll be using it in the city or on a cruise. If you’re embarking on a cruise, a Transportable or Transportable HD Scooter is the way to go. These models are more maneuverable and make it easier to navigate through the tight spaces on a cruise ship like hallways, elevators, and staterooms. They also disassemble and can be stored in your stateroom.

If you’re renting in the city, a Standard or HD Scooter is typically the best option. It has a farther driving range, added stability, and improved comfort for all-day driving. The downside is that it does not disassemble and can be more difficult to transport in a car.

Can the mobility scooter rental be used on the beach?

No. Our mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs are not designed to travel over sand and therefore should not be used on the beach. The only exception is if the sand is hard and packed down.

Where do I store the mobility scooter when I’m not using it?

If you are on a cruise, the scooter should be stored inside your stateroom. Transportable and Transportable HD Scooters can fit inside most cruise ship staterooms thanks to their thinner width and ability to disassemble. If you need to rent a Standard or Heavy Duty Scooter, we recommend also purchasing an accessible stateroom for your cruise, as these have wider doorways and more space.

If you are staying at a hotel in the city, please store the device in your hotel room if possible. In some cases, the hotel may allow you to store the scooter behind the front desk instead. Be sure to call your accommodation in advance to determine what will be best.
