While the museums themselves do not offer parking, there are many spaces available in and around the National Mall. Visitors from any US state may use their parking placard in Washington D.C.

In total, the museum is home to over 150,000 pieces of artwork, making it one of the largest art collections in the United States. This number includes several masterpieces by renowned artists, such as Leonardo da Vinci's "Ginevra de' Benci" and Vincent van Gogh's "Self-Portrait".
Like the other Smithsonian Museums, the National Gallery of Art takes accessibility seriously.
